Credit Analyst

Regal Financial Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst who will analyze credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals.

Job Duties

  • Contacts banks, trade and credit associations, sales people, and others to obtain credit information.
  • Evaluates results of investigations, prepares reports of findings, and suggests credit limitations to management.
  • Maintains database of customer credit histories.
  • Analyzes tax return and financial statements utilizing the Tax Analysis and Fiscal Systems.
  • Prepares loan document request forms and reviews the loan documents for conformity and compliance.
  • Sets up loan files.
  • Provides administrative support to commercial loan officers.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate and consumer loan processing.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements, tax returns and basic financial analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of related state and federal loan regulations and other applicable Bank lending policies and procedures.
  • One to two years experience in financial institution in an accounting/financial, lending, credit analysis or related area.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Good analytical and computer skills, including word processing, internet software, e-mail, database software.
  • Good organizational skills.



Loan Services Manager


Job Duties

  • Manages the documentation, boarding and servicing and construction loan process for the loan servicing department.
  • Provides leadership, training and supervision to team members and ensures quality customer relations.
  • Ensures that production and other processing activities are completed according to applicable government regulations and bank policy.
  • Ensures that all new loans are appropriately assigned; organizes workflow, delegates assignments and ensures appropriate training for team members.
  • Monitors servicing of all loans including changes of ownership, modifications, credit inquiries, taxes, hazard and flood insurance, impounds, delinquencies, payoffs, partial reconveyances or deeds-in-lieu-of-foreclosure. Reviews loan documentation for accuracy and completeness; monitors compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
  • Consults with team members to ensure resolution of inquiries or issues that relate to loan documentation preparation, servicing, boarding or construction loan processing.
  • Ensures accurate completion of related operational reports.
  • Provides and/or receives information and discusses and/or resolves problems with escrow officers, borrowers, outside legal counsel and others.
  • Services and maintains data on non-accrual and/or charged-off loans; makes required changes as directed.
  • Balances lending-related general ledger accounts; processes block entries and miscellaneous corrections.
  • Processes, solves and responds to complex customer transactions, problems or inquiries.
  • Coordinates activities with the Credit Administrator as required.
  • Maintains and updates procedural manuals as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performance planning, coaching, development and evaluation.
  • Recommends hire/fire/salary actions/decisions.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from accredited 2 or 4-year college or university leading to a degree in business, management, real estate or related field preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate and consumer loan products and processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, Bank operational and lending policies and procedures, and the Bank’s products and services, including applicable lending regulations.
  • 10 years related experience in loan documentation preparation and/or loan operations/loan servicing.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
